Responsibilities:
  • Assist with store leadership and Scheels Campus Marketing, develop comprehensive event and promotion opportunities to increase store traffic and sales
  • Assist with managing public relations with all store associates to ensure they understand the promotion or event to maximize buy-in and participation
  • Seek and recommend to store leadership community engagement opportunities that will enhance the Scheels brand. Upon approval, manage the opportunity
  • Serve as the store liaison with Scheels Campus Marketing to manage store media, including TV, radio, print, website, social media, pro-staff, events, co-op, vendors, graphic design, and training
  • Have a clear understanding of the Scheels brand and culture to manage public relations between Scheels and our customers and community via multiple internet and media platforms
  • Assist in providing project status updates to the store leader, the leadership team, and the Scheels Campus
  • Assist in creating and managing the marketing office budget
  • Works closely with the Social Media Associate to assist with generating, editing, publishing, and sharing content on all social platforms
  • Oversee Scheels sponsorships and Pro Staff by reviewing contracts, hosting meetings, attending events, and evaluating their performance
  • Ability to work assigned schedules, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Schedule will include 2-3 weekend days and 2-3 weeknights per month, including occasional travel/overnight stays
  • Must possess a valid driver's license

Compensation:
Starting $40,000-$43,000 Annually
Schedule Requirements:
This position is typically Monday through Friday but could include some evenings, weekends and various holidays if needed
Education & Experience:
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; 2-5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of degree and experience.
Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:
Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
Medium work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for light work.
