Kitchen Assistant – Healthcare Setting (Montreal) – URGENT Willing to work in the area mentioned and ideally owns a means of transport. Ability to work in one of the following settings: Community, CHSLD, CLSC, hospital (CH) or private setting. Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada (home and partner establishments) Contract type: Full-time or part-time (permanent/fixed-term contract depending on needs) Schedule: Day, evening or night depending on assignments and availability Compensation: up to $26/assignment + bonuses, transportation reimbursement, ongoing training About Asicc-Med – Mobile Health: Asicc-Med is a Quebec-based organization committed to providing humane, safe, and professional services in healthcare and residential settings. We place dignity, respect, and quality at the heart of each of our interventions—including food services, which are essential to the well-being of our clients. Main responsibilities: Assist the cook in preparing daily meals (breakfast and dinner) by ensuring that the food is served properly (schedule, order, service and presentation); Participate in discussions about the different menus offered daily; Prepare meals by cutting food, cooking and assembling dishes for service to customers; Apply food quality and safety standards both in the kitchen and in the service area; Ensure that all spaces, equipment and materials are clean, disinfected and tidy; Wash dishes, pots, other kitchen utensils and supplies after service; Assist with cleaning the freezer, storage areas and external supplier equipment, when necessary (i.e. accumulated grease, vents, etc.); Assist the cook in carrying out her tasks All other related tasks. Requirements: Relevant experience as a kitchen assistant in a similar environment; Hold the "Food Establishment Manager Certificate" from MAPAQ. Ability to use electrical and gas equipment for cooking, dishwashers and other cleaning and disinfection equipment; Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite); Knowledge of food preparation, presentation techniques and quality standards; Excellent interpersonal skills
