Part-Time Communications Project Manager

Location: Portland, OR

Employment Type: Part-Time (Mon, Tues, Wed)

Are you a skilled project manager who loves organizing moving pieces, collaborating with creative teams, and ensuring projects are delivered flawlessly? We're looking for a Communications Project Manager to play a vital role in driving the success of our Communications team.

In this position, you'll serve as the operational hub for communications and creative initiatives, helping manage projects from concept through completion. You'll work closely with the Communications Project Manager, internal stakeholders, and external partners to keep priorities moving, streamline processes, and deliver exceptional results that support organizational goals.


What You'll DoProject Management

As a key member of the Communications team, you'll oversee and coordinate a variety of projects, ensuring they are completed on time and with exceptional quality.

  • Manage communications project requests from intake through final delivery
  • Gather requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to define project needs
  • Coordinate project assignments across the Communications team
  • Track timelines, milestones, deliverables, and project progress
  • Communicate updates, priorities, and deadlines to team members and stakeholders
  • Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and capture detailed meeting notes
  • Coordinate with external vendors and partners, including creative freelancers, printers, and production resources
  • Support enhancements and implementation of project management processes and systems
  • Ensure all project documentation, resources, and files remain organized and up to date
Operations Support

You'll also contribute to initiatives that improve department efficiency and collaboration.

  • Support management and organization of Communications SharePoint resources
  • Assist with internal communication projects in partnership with Human Resources and other departments
  • Help implement new tools, workflows, and operational improvements
  • Contribute to projects that enhance team effectiveness and communication across the organization

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of project management experience, including coordinating ongoing projects, scheduling meetings, and documenting key discussions
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills

  • Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work independently while maintaining accountability
  • Excellent customer service mindset with a commitment to supporting stakeholders and team members
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting marketing, communications, or creative projects
  • Experience using project management platforms, particularly Asana
  • Experience working within SharePoint

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $42.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
