Job Description:
The Corporate Communications Intern will assist with various projects and programs that support the semiconductor-related promotional and branding activities, including tradeshows, PR/media relations, content creation and digital marketing. Deliverables include videos, collateral, webinars, digital banners, presentations, employee communications, special events, and more. The Corporate Communications Specialist will have responsibility for document maintenance, communications distribution, logistics coordination, invoice tracking, and on-site support of the global corporate communication programs. This position will also help support other countries outside of U.S. by working closely and collaborating with local staff and supporting larger programs.
Responsibilities include:
  • Support and/or drive internal and external marketing programs for the global corporate communications team.
  • Participate in project review, planning meetings and staff meetings.
  • Participate in creative brainstorming meetings for product branding, strategic messaging, theme development and visual implementation. Bring new, fresh ideas to the table.
  • Manage purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and payments.
  • Assist with various domestic and international events (seminars, tradeshows, conferences, internal evets).
  • Support the tasks of publishing the customer newsletter as needed. Draft articles for the employee newsletter.
  • Inventory and order giveaway items for company events and tradeshows.
  • Organize and maintain central repositories for photos/images, technical papers, and collateral.
  • Partner with corporate communication team members to drive adherence to corporate branding guidelines.
  • Serve as point of contact for organization's packages shipped to and from the San Jose office.
  • Support the goals of the social media program, successfully implementing deliverables including the creation of posts.
  • Help implement local all-hands meetings, coordinating logistics and providing onsite support.
  • Assist with coordinating conference calls and meetings, and follow up on actions items, as needed.
  • Represent corporate communications team in a professional and responsive manner and build a strong working relationship with global peers.

Requirements:
• BA in Communications, Marketing, Writing, Journalism, Advertising, or other related disciplines. Or should be working towards one of these degrees.
• 2+ years of marketing communications or related experience.
• Strong understanding of AP style writing.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (written especially critical).
• Japanese, Chinese, German or Korean is a plus.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management as well as target audiences.
• Good eye for proof-reading.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate outsourced marketing activities.
• Strong ability to be resourceful and creative.
• Willing to grow and learn.
• Must have flexibility in working hours.
• Keen understanding of branding.
• Some experience and/or exposure to tradeshows and other events.
Additional Skills Preferred (but not required):
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills related to marketing communications (e.g., press releases, familiarity with Associated Press (AP) Style, digital media, event copy, internal and external newsletters, presentations).
