Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for an Internal Audit Intern for our Summer 2027 internship program! The U.S. Venture Internal Audit Intern will be responsible for performing independent and objective evaluations of internal control processes, as well as advising on the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of systems, controls and operations.
U.S. Venture's Internship Program runs May - August 2027. Dates may vary based on individual class schedules. This position is located at our Corporate Office in Appleton, WI.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in the testing of internal controls and document findings and observations in the departmental electronic work paper repository.

  • Assist in updating and/or the preparation of process narratives and/or process flows for key business processes and identify risks and controls within these processes.

  • Work in a team environment on various audit, accounting or finance projects and tasks.

  • Perform testing of Compliance Committee areas of focus to determine adequacy and timeliness of action steps.

  • Assist with annual fiscal year-end Deloitte audit procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as Access, Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Experience with Internal Audits and/or Internal Controls a plus.
  • Strong relationship building skills and comfort working with others.
