CONTROLLER – Privately-owned Company with great people, great benefits, and a great work/life balance!


A well-established, financially strong, entrepreneurial organization is seeking a Hands-on Controller to work with its friendly, collaborative, and talented team.

Ideal candidate will be a CPA with some public accounting experience.


RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CONTROLLER

  • Oversee the activities of the accounting department to ensure the accurate and timely dissemination of financial statements and management reports.
  • Oversee disbursement activities, including wire transfers.
  • Oversee compliance with loan agreements.
  • Oversee compliance with the financial reporting.
  • Prepare annual budgets.
  • Work with external income tax professionals.
  • Establish and maintain systems and internal controls.
  • Respond to the CEO and CFO as requested on special projects.
  • Provide leadership to and ongoing development of staff.
  • Manage employee benefits and payroll relationships.
  • Manage all aspects of the QuickBooks accounting system.
  • Accurately account for the investments and intercompany transactions.
  • Communicate with others courteously and professionally.
  • Adhere to all regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS OF THE CONTROLLER

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience including at least 2 years in public accounting.
  • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills.
  • Financial analysis and cash management preferred.
  • QuickBooks experience a plus.
  • Real estate experience a plus but not required.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Self-starter who takes ownership of responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with co-workers, outside consultants, and others.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Stable job record.
  • Highest level of integrity.
  • Team player.


Target salary range: $130,000 - $160,000 DOE. Discretionary bonus potential and some top-of–the- line benefits!
