Your Role:
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Internal Communications Lead to shape how we communicate, connect, and align across AVID.
This role is critical in ensuring that our people understand where we are going, why it matters, and how they contribute. You will partner closely with executive leadership to bring clarity to complex topics, reinforce our culture, and strengthen trust through consistent, authentic communication.

Key Responsibilities:
Internal Communications Strategy
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy aligned with AVID's business priorities and culture
  • Define communication frameworks, channels, and cadences that ensure clarity and consistency across the organization
  • Establish standards for tone, voice, and messaging

Executive & Leadership Communications
  • Partner with the CEO, ELT, and senior leaders to craft clear, compelling communications (e.g., town halls, organizational updates, change announcements, intranet)
  • Support leaders in communicating with authenticity, clarity, and consistency
  • Translate strategy and complex topics into accessible, engaging messages

Organizational Alignment & Change Communications
  • Lead communication efforts for key initiatives such as organizational changes, policy updates, and transformation projects
  • Ensure messaging supports transparency, trust, and psychological safety
  • Create structured communication plans for major initiatives

Culture & Engagement
  • Reinforce AVID's culture and agreed-upon principles through storytelling and communication
  • Support moments that shape employee experience (e.g., onboarding, offsites, key milestones)
  • Partner with People, Legal, and leadership teams to ensure communications are aligned, inclusive, and thoughtful

Channels & Content Management
  • Oversee and optimize internal communication channels (e.g., town halls, intranet, email, leadership cascades)
  • Create high-quality content including announcements, FAQs, leadership talking points, and narratives
  • Ensure the right message reaches the right audience at the right time

Measurement & Continuous Improvement
  • Define and track metrics to measure communication effectiveness and engagement
  • Gather employee feedback and continuously improve communication approaches
  • Bring data-driven insights to leadership on what is working and where to improve

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, HR, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in internal communications or corporate communications
  • Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced organization (GMP or regulated environment is a plus)
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills
  • Proven experience supporting executive communications
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management capabilities

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This role is a full-time onsite position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm PST unless otherwise stated by Supervisor. The employee must also have the ability to work overtime and/or weekends when necessary.
Compensation:
We offer competitive compensation packages for this role, including a base salary, performance-based bonuses, and comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
The compensation range for this role is $100,800 - $126,000 annually depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer opportunities for career growth and development as well as a supportive and inclusive work environment.
