Job description

Writes, edits and designs communications and promotional materials (i.e. graduate school newsletter); determines most appropriate method of composition and distribution. Conducts interviews, generates story ideas and coordinates photography sessions. Creates and Serves as project manager for special events such as PhD hooding ceremony. Provides topical guidance as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage application and admissions processes, including communicating with prospective students, maintaining admissions information on the program website, and serving as the liaison to admissions committees. 
  • Write, edit, and maintain content for digital communication outlets and social media.
  • Plan and coordinate events, including all recruitment events. 
  • Participate in on and off campus recruiting fairs. 
  • Develop and coordinate recruitment and marketing strategies to attract new students including print materials, promotional items, email campaigns, and online advertising.
  • Partner with departments across campus to track alumni outcomes, maintain relationships with alumni, and establish a development strategy. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $45,395 - $56,000

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Mass Communications or a related field and three (3) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Minimum hiring rate must meet the most current FLSA guidelines for salary level and basis to remain exempt. 

Preferred:

Communication, marketing, admissions, recruitment, and graphic design experience
