Job Description – 

We are seeking a Mission Avionics Systems Engineer to support the design, integration, testing, certification, and troubleshooting of advanced avionics systems. The role involves working with cross-functional engineering teams, suppliers, and software organizations to ensure successful system integration and compliance with FAA and military requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support avionics system design, development, integration, testing, and certification activities.

  • Assist with system requirements validation, verification, and hardware/software integration.

  • Develop and execute test plans and support flight and laboratory testing.

  • Troubleshoot avionics, RF, networking, and communication systems issues.

  • Conduct Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations.

  • Coordinate with suppliers, software teams, and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).

  • Support FAA, military certification, and airworthiness activities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or related technical field.

  • Experience with avionics systems, communication systems, RF technologies, networking, or system integration.

  • Experience troubleshooting hardware/software systems.

  • Knowledge of radios, military GPS, Link 16, or related communication systems.

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of experience, Master’s degree with 7+ years, or PhD with 4+ years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with FAA or military certification requirements.

  • Experience with RF engineering, navigation systems, flight management systems, or mission control systems.

  • Experience with avionics LRUs, supplier management, and RCCA investigations.

  • Experience with software development processes and requirements development.
