This process is often used by organizations to detect and prevent illegal activities, ensure compliance with regulations, or protect sensitive information. In financial services, for example, communication surveillance helps identify market abuse, insider trading, and other forms of misconduct. The role generally involves using specialized software to flag suspicious activities and conducting investigations if necessary.
