Job Summary

Physiq instructors are expected to lead engaging, safe, and educational fitness classes that cater to members of all fitness levels, ensuring both member satisfaction and class retention. Instructors should adhere to class formats and guidelines established by the Studio Director and actively contribute to member involvement and retention within the group fitness program. Instructors should maintain a professional and supportive demeanor, promoting participation not only in their own classes but also in those of their fellow instructors. Furthermore, instructors should encourage member participation in other Physiq events and services.


General Accountabilities

  • Maintain an environment that allows members to feel welcome while instructing a fun, safe, and educational group fitness class.
  • Understand and follow all company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Arrive early for scheduled classes to assist members with setup and ensure they feel comfortable with the equipment (best practice is 10 minutes early).
  • Arrange coverage for classes when necessary and assist with covering for other instructors when available.
  • Accommodate different fitness levels by offering modifications and alternatives during class.
  • Instruct individuals on maintaining proper exertion levels to maximize benefits from exercise routines.
  • Teach with proper form and appropriate energy levels.
  • Be knowledgeable about the Physiq Fitness App and assist members with its use.
