Job description

The Account Executive position is responsible for executing sales strategy, initiating contact with existing and potential customers, identifying needs and selling appropriate services to meet those needs, closing contracts at defined monthly goals, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Reports to: Manager of Customer Operations

Department:  Customer Operations

Classification: Salary Exempt

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned accounts and renewals
  • Develop and managing new business relationships with targeted leads through cold calling, and company leads
  • Obtaining signed service contracts from new customers in effort to meet and/or exceed all quotas
  • Managing and maintaining CRM database for all prospect information to 100% accuracy
  • Providing management with accurate forecast, funnel and all additional required activity/sales metrics
  • Up-selling existing customer base with new products and/or technologies
  • Attending sales meetings, conference calls, trainings and coaching sessions with the Manager of Customer Operations.
  • Call prospective customers and establish buying cycles, customer needs, and create a customer/provider relationship
  • Prepare sales information for customers
  • Establish buying influences and purchasing criteria for assigned accounts
  • Secure sales while taking into consideration expected service delivery dates
  • Identifies revenue opportunities within customers' communities through communications, programs, and other activities as needed
  • Prospects, qualifies, and generates sales within the company’s established trading partners
  • Ensures planning, accounts qualification, and needs analysis at all prospect levels
  • Identify appropriate contacts, qualify, and drive leads through the sales CRM
  • Responds to requests from customers for information and gives sales presentations
  • Engages in technical discussions with potential clients through demonstrations and presentations
  • Remains knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes and developments in the telecommunications industry
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position:  Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Travel

Frequent travel and some overnight travels are expected for this position.
