We are looking for a master media strategist to unify, elevate, and lead our global narrative and storytelling. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will be a key player in transforming our cross-functional public relations, corporate communications, and analyst and influencer relations into a unified power engine that accelerates market awareness and adoption and inspires community trust.
What You'll Do:
  • Define and author the overarching global communication strategy in order to align long-term enterprise goals with a compelling public voice that elevates our corporate authority.
  • Cultivate and leverage deep relationships with Tier-1 tech journalists and industry influencers in order to secure high-impact placements that increase our competitive share of voice.
  • Develop proactive response frameworks and risk-mitigation models in order to safeguard corporate reputation and maintain public trust during critical business or industry events.
  • Oversee the direction and performance of all corporate digital and social media channels in order to optimize multi-platform engagement with our global community.
  • Establish advanced operational KPIs and attribution metrics across all communication vectors in order to measure and prove business impact, brand sentiment, and pipeline influence.
  • Provide strategic counsel, bespoke media coaching, and tailored talking points to the C-suite in order to enhance the efficacy of executive thought leadership across public forums.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of communication specialists and content creators in order to cultivate internal talent, maximize operational velocity, and foster a world-class culture of accountability.
What You'll Add to DigitalOcean:
  • Experience with building and executing multi-channel global communications, PR, and social media strategies at scale within a high-growth SaaS, cloud infrastructure, or tech environment.
  • A deep understanding of public relations methodologies, crisis management frameworks, and the shifting nuances of algorithmic digital channels.
  • Experience with handling corporate visibility operations and acting as a trusted liaison to media entities, industry analysts, and executive stakeholders.
