Job Summary
As a Legal Assistant in our Business Litigation/Insurance Defense practice, you will be an essential part of the litigation team. You’ll provide critical support that keeps matters moving efficiently and allows our attorneys to focus on strategy, advocacy, and client service. Your work will be varied, challenging, and impactful. No two days look the same, and your contributions will be visible and valued.
 
Job Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level legal and administrative support to attorneys and paralegals
  • Prepare, format, and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence
  • Manage court filings across state and federal jurisdictions, including e-filing and service
  • Maintain case files, calendars, and deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Coordinate schedules, depositions, hearings, and client communications
  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation, discovery management, and document organization
  • Serve as a professional point of contact for clients, courts, and opposing counsel
 
What We're Looking For
  • Law firm background required
  • Minimum of 2+ years' experience supporting attorneys and paralegals in a legal setting
  • Prior experience as a legal assistant or litigation support professional, ideally in insurance defense or civil litigation
  • Strong knowledge of court rules, filing procedures, and litigation workflows
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a sharp eye for detail
  • Professional judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage sensitive information
  • Confidence working in a deadline-driven environment with multiple priorities
