We have produced control packages for many of America's top corporations in the chemical, environmental, food, pulp and paper, rubber, petroleum, pharmaceutical, glass, metals, and utilities industries. We can meet the needs of our diverse clientele from start to finish through sales, design, fabrication, testing, and delivery.

Job Duties:

  • Develop and execute commodity strategies aligned with company growth, cost, and operational goals
  • Lead sourcing events (RFQs/RFPs), supplier selection, and contract negotiations
  • Manage supplier relationships, including performance (OTD, quality, cost) and capacity planning
  • Own supplier, pricing, and lead time accuracy in the ERP system to support quoting, planning, and purchasing execution
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including long lead-time and single-source dependencies
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives, including value engineering and should-cost analysis
  • Partner with Engineering and Estimating to support quoting, BOM accuracy, and component standardization
  • Monitor market trends (steel, copper, electrical components, etc.) and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly
  • Support production ramp-ups by ensuring supplier readiness and capacity alignment
  • Implement and maintain supplier scorecards and continuous improvement plans
  • Collaborate with Buyers and Materials teams to resolve escalations and ensure execution of procurement strategy
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business objectives

Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience managing commodities such as metals (steel), copper, or electrical components
  • Background in supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Familiarity with contract terms, incoterms, and commercial agreements
  • Experience implementing or working with supplier scorecards and KPI tracking
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement experience

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management
  • Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and bills of material (BOMs)
  • Experience with ERP systems (Syteline, SAP, Oracle, or similar), including maintaining supplier, pricing, and lead time data
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools to support decision-making
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
