With an environment that encourages and assists each person in developing to their highest potential, a career at A-dec is incredibly rewarding.## OverviewWe are looking for a Supply Chain Commodity Lead who will work across the business units within a small central team responsible for management of spend and supply base across multiple assigned commodities.**Duties and Responsibilities:*** Develop, lead, and execute Supply Chain strategies for assigned commodities, materials and/or services.* Develop, integrate, and manage preferred suppliers to meet global requirements through systematic performance ratings and A-dec Supply Base Management tools.* Develop and implement “best-in-class” supply chain processes and procedures.* Leverage A-dec supply base to achieve targets.* Identify high risk suppliers and implement actions/negotiate agreements to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to all key metrics.* Provide coaching, mentoring and support to commodity and procurement team members.* Lead Procurement effort for new product development (NPD).* Manage Sourcing activities for assigned commodities including negotiating agreements, quoting, establishing terms & conditions, and site support for large project execution.* Work effectively with business leaders, bid/proposal estimators, project managers, buyers, and site materials personnel to achieve business objectives.* Serve as a liaison between Supply Chain, other business functions, and suppliers to ensure team and suppliers are effectively supporting programs and projects.* Understand indices that drive pricing across industries and be able to forecast changes.* Analyze key spend data utilizing a variety of sources to identify trends, investigate and identify alternative sourcing options.* Achieve world-class results in Quality, Delivery, and Cost.* Drive ongoing supplier optimization and continuous improvement.**Minimum Qualifications:**Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, or Technical related degree or 3 years equivalent experience.5-7 years’ experience in sourcing, preferably in light manufacturing.Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to be influential and work effectively, with all levels of management, across the organization.Proficient with Microsoft tools for data analysis and communication.Proven ability to aggregate, prioritize and leverage across multiple sites.Demonstrated team player with strong initiative.Highly organized self-starter, effective in managing multiple priorities and deadlines.Capable of reading and interpreting engineering documentation and technical data.Experienced in presentation abilities, including PowerPoint development.
