Job Title: Commodity Account Management & Strategic Sourcing 
Location: West Des Moines, IA 50265
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Pay Rate: $40/hr on W2
 
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional in Commodity/Account Management and Strategic Sourcing. This role involves establishing sourcing goals, ensuring acceptable service levels, and managing the end-to-end procurement process. The ideal candidate will execute competitive bids, negotiate and administer contracts, and analyze pricing proposals to optimize price, quality, timing, and the reliability of supply.
 
Key Responsibilities: 
• Develop and implement negotiation strategies for procuring goods, services, and supplies. 
• Execute comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with organizational goals. 
• Establish and maintain sourcing objectives and service level agreements. 
• Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other external partners. 
• Perform detailed analysis of price proposals, financial reports, and other relevant data to ensure cost-effectiveness. 
• Evaluate supplier capabilities, quality standards, reliability, and price competitiveness. 
• Conduct supplier research to uphold organizational standards for price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply. 
• Drive and support the strategic planning process for specific commodities or strategic suppliers. 
• Lead the sourcing lifecycle, from Request for Quotation (RFQ) to contract execution. 
• Monitor supplier or commodity performance to meet delivery, quality, and cost expectations.
 
Required Qualifications: 
• 3-5 years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Contracts Management, or a related business field. 
• Demonstrated experience in sourcing, including Request for Proposal (RFP) execution, contract negotiations, and Supplier Relationship Management.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and database management.
 
Preferred Qualifications: 
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills. 
• Project management experience is a plus. 
• Background in the government or aerospace industry is highly desirable.
