Job description

Field Sales Manager – Pella Events

$4,500–$7,500+ per month | 1099 Independent Contractor | Raleigh/Durham, NC

Build and lead Pella's new event sales team across the Triangle and Triad.

Holly Street Sales Co. is partnering with Pella Carolina, the Pella Windows & Doors distributor serving North Carolina and Southwest Virginia, to launch a new event marketing program across the region.

We are hiring one Field Sales Manager to build and lead the team across Raleigh, Durham, Greensboro, and High Point.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll represent Pella at home shows, fairs, and retail events, personally generate qualified in-home consultation appointments, and recruit, train, and coach a team of event sales representatives doing the same.

You don't sell windows. Pella's own in-home sales team handles the consultation and closes the business. Your job is to generate qualified appointments and build the team that generates them.

What you will do

  • Represent the Pella brand at home shows, fairs, retail events, and other high-traffic venues
  • Personally engage homeowners and schedule free in-home consultation appointments
  • Recruit, hire, train, and coach a team of event sales representatives
  • Own booth setup, breakdown, and event day logistics
  • Track team performance, appointments, and results weekly
  • Represent a nationally recognized brand with a 100+ year reputation

What we are looking for

  • Experience with companies such as Pella, Renewal by Andersen, Champion, Window World, Marvin, West Shore Home, Power Home Remodeling, LeafFilter, or a comparable home-improvement brand is strongly preferred
  • Experience recruiting, training, coaching, or leading a sales/marketing team
  • Flexibility to work weekends, as most events take place Friday through Sunday
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift and carry event equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • A self-directed approach and the ability to lead without someone standing beside you

Schedule and travel

  • Approximately 4 events per month to start, with additional events as the program grows
  • Most event work is weekends. Recruiting, interviewing, training, coaching, and planning take place during the week
  • Events run across the Triangle and Triad.
  • Occasional travel beyond these markets may be required
  • Approved travel outside the local market is reimbursed, including gas, per diem, and hotel when an overnight stay is required

HOW YOU GET PAID

This is a 1099 independent contractor position, and all compensation is paid weekly.

Three parts.

1. Weekly Base

Guaranteed every week, tied to a straightforward personal appointment goal. Weeks with no event on the calendar still pay, because recruiting and training your team is part of the job.

2. Commission on your own results

You earn on every appointment you personally set that the homeowner keeps, and you earn again when that appointment turns into a signed sale.

3. An override on your team

You earn a piece of every appointment your reps set that gets kept, and again when those turn into sales. The override accelerates once your team passes a volume threshold at an event, so a strong team pays you more.

At target performance, this role can earn approximately $6,400 per month, with an expected range of $4,500–$7,500+ per month. There is no cap on commission earnings.
