The main difference between a Commission Virtual Leasing Agent and an On-Site Leasing Agent lies in their work environment and interaction style. Virtual agents operate remotely, leveraging online tools, while on-site agents work directly at property locations. Both roles often require similar credentials, such as real estate licenses, and serve similar industries. The choice depends on whether the employer prefers remote or in-person leasing processes.

How to become a remote leasing agent?

To become a remote leasing agent, you typically need strong communication and customer service skills, knowledge of leasing processes, and proficiency with property management software. Many employers require a high school diploma or equivalent and may offer training or certification programs. Having a reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace is also essential for remote work.

Where do commission virtual leasing agents make the most money?

Commission virtual leasing agents tend to earn higher incomes in markets with competitive rental rates and larger property portfolios, such as major metropolitan areas. Earnings also depend on experience, sales skills, and the volume of leasing transactions handled, with some agents earning significant commissions through high-value or high-turnover properties.
