Job description

About the Role:
Installs, maintains, and repairs complex electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and control systems, while ensuring code compliance. Troubleshoot high-voltage equipment in manufacturing facilities (industrial) or manage complex wiring in offices (commercial).
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a journeyman electrician in industrial or commercial settings
  • Collaborate with the construction team to install power distribution systems, transformers, lighting, temporary construction power, and electrical equipment up to 480 VAC
  • Install conduit stub ups for customer supplied equipment
  • Maintain and troubleshoot various electrical components
  • Interpret and use complex electrical schematics and blueprints to plan, install, and improve electrical systems
  • Consult manuals and read project electrical drawings to perform and plan work scopes
  • Execute a wide variety of electrical tasks and provide timely feedback
  • Exhibit a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Required Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in sizing conductors and conduits and using the NEC Code Book
  • Experience handling electrical systems from low to high voltage up to 480 VAC; medium voltage experience is a plus
  • Ability to interpret electrical prints and schematics
  • Install complex conduit configurations
  • Make complex EMT piping bends with minimal waste
  • Capability to test and commission work according to company procedures and building department codes
  • Strong knowledge of job site safety, with the ability to evaluate job hazards and complete pre-work task planning, focusing on electrical hazards and safety procedures
  • Ability to work at heights up to 80 ft
  • Reliable transportation and ability to report to the jobsite on time daily
  • Valid driver’s license, Picture ID, or Passport
  • Ability to work in secure or badge access environments
  • Full PPE including hard hat, safety vest, Safety Toe Work Boot, gloves, and safety glasses
  • Trade specific tools required
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and OSHA guidelines
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to take direction
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or extended shifts as needed
