Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)

  • Create and publish social-first content, including short-form videos, photo galleries, graphics, and captions across HOT ROD social platforms
  • Capture, edit, and produce engaging photo and video content using industry-standard multimedia tools
  • Attend automotive events, races, and industry gatherings to deliver real-time social coverage and create compelling on-site content
  • Collaborate with editorial, marketing, and audience development teams to execute social campaigns supporting HOT ROD initiatives, branded partnerships, and key industry events
  • Monitor emerging social media trends, platform updates, and audience engagement strategies to maximize content performance
  • Analyze social performance metrics and contribute to reporting efforts, providing actionable insights on audience growth and engagement
  • Maintain HOT ROD's distinctive voice, editorial standards, and leadership position within the automotive media landscape
  • Identify opportunities to grow audience engagement and strengthen community connections across social channels


Qualifications (What We're Looking For)

  • 3+ years of experience in social media, digital content creation, audience engagement, or a related field, preferably within media, publishing, or automotive-focused organizations
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, content trends, and audience engagement best practices
  • Demonstrated passion for automotive culture, performance vehicles, motorsports, and enthusiast communities
  • Experience with photography, videography, video editing, and social-first content production
  • Strong copywriting, storytelling, and content packaging skills tailored to digital and social audiences
  • Familiarity with social analytics tools, reporting processes, and performance measurement preferred
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional presence and strong communication skills while representing a highly visible automotive media brand
  • Fully remote position
     

The hourly rate for this role is $62.50 per hour. This position is not eligible for bonus or commission compensation. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
