Job description

Marblelife provides Stone, Tile and Grout restoration and maintenance services throughout Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Diego Counties. MARBLELIFE is the largest company of our type servicing residential, commercial and hotel segments.

This position is expected to be part-time to start, and then transition to full-time upon completion of training.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • No specific prior experience is required, but some general handy experience is preferred, with a reliable and professional attitude.
  • Must be able to safely lift over 50+ lbs. at times.
  • Must be able to bend, crouch, or stand for lengthy periods at a time.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, and consent to a background check.
  • Territory includes Riverside, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and San Diego counties.
  • Primary focus includes cleaning, restoration, polishing, and repair of marble, granite, and other natural stone surfaces, as well as quartz, Corian, grout, and caulking work.
  • This is expected to be a part time position to start and will grow to full time as you become fully trained and are able to operate solo.

Additional Responsibilities (Production):

  • Complete stone restoration and maintenance assignments in a timely manner.
  • Drive work van to client work-site
  • Manage on-truck inventory, loading and un-loading supplies and equipment as needed
  • Complete in-house maintenance assignments.
  • Complete pre-flight checklists prior to traveling to work site in order to minimize delays associated with missing material or equipment.
  • Complete post-flight checklist to ensure next shift has the needed chemicals and equipment.
  • Complete job checklist to ensure all work order items have been completed satisfactorily to minimize call backs and ensure a happy client.
  • Complete any call back items in a timely manner.
  • Secure customer sign-off accepting completed job and quality.
  • Secure customer payment for balance of order.
  • Responsibilities (Vehicle):
  • Maintain assigned vehicle and equipment in peak operating efficiency
  • Keep vehicle and equipment clean
  • Report when vehicle has reached its next service point.

  • % Referral and Testimonial collection Pay

Compensation

  • Hourly to start at $18/hr which transitions to productivity plan (piece-rate compensation) typically within 90-days once training is complete and employee can manage restoration job solo.
  • Productivity Plan (piece-rate compensation) pays 22.0% of gross margin dollars generated upon promotion to productivity. On average this has resulted in Technicians receiving $20-30+/hr, with improved quality and feedback.
  • Product Commissions – 10% product sales.
  • Added Service Commissions – 10% of additional services sold.
