Job description

Functional PeopleSoft Analyst
Client: Veterans Affairs
POP: 12+ months
Location: Remote; If local to DMV must report to Herndon, VA

SCOPE
As a Senior Functional Analyst, you'll offer advice and expertise to help improve business performance in terms of operations, profitability, management, structure, and strategy. Assisting clients in the implementation and support of PeopleSoft Enterprise HR modules throughout the project lifecycle, activities include requirements analysis, system design, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and working with team members on activities spanning all project phases. Additional tasks include developing system requirements specifications, test plans, and detailed system architecture and system design documentation. Candidates must communicate clearly and effectively with team members/leads and clients, demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and build confidence and trust with customers and team members.
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10-15 years of experience working with PeopleSoft HCM for Federal customers
  • 10-15 years of experience with HC Shared Services
  • 10-15 years of work supporting federal HC process improvement initiatives in various parts of the HR life cycle for several different federal agencies
  • Working knowledge of PeopleTools to assist with trouble-shooting/issue resolution
  • 10-15 years of excellent customer relationship management skills including effective oral and written communications
  • 10-15 years of strong analytical skills; ability to research issues and provide solutions
  • 10-15 years of engaging with client stakeholders and customers to determine appropriate process improvements
  • Capacity and willingness to learn complex business rules and apply them to system processes and support

PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Master's Degree or higher
  • 5-10 years of HC Transformation work that is the result of performance management and/or benchmarking initiatives
  • 5-10 years of experience with Merit System Principles
  • 5-15 years of developing business cases and multi-year strategic improvement road maps
  • Experience assisting with various areas of complex projects

TASKS
  • Drive analysis, design, and implementation of Peoplesoft modules as lead function on Scrum/CR
  • Manage/coordinate with customers and internal teams
  • Develop and maintain detailed functional design and documentation
  • System Testing
  • Leverage PeopleTools and support technical team with issue resolution
