Job description

We are seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to join our team! You will install fire alarm wiring, devices, control panels, etc. You will also assist with installation of security systems, CCTV systems, and other low voltage systems.

Requirements:

  1. Live within 45 minutes of our main office in zip code 27617
  2. Be able to pass an NC Alarm Systems Licensing Board background check - this means NO felonies/level 2 or higher misdemeanors on your record. See this link: https://www.dac.nc.gov/documents/files/aslb-crimes-statutory-order/open for more information.
  3. Be able to pass a drug screening

Responsibilities:

  • Install pathways and wiring
  • Terminate, test and label wiring
  • Install fire alarm devices
  • Install ERCES/BDA systems
  • Install security systems

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience installing fire alarm systems (Potter, Siemens, Kidde, Honeywell, etc)
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • OSHA 10 or 30 preferred but not required - company will pay for training and certification
  • Any industry certs are a plus (NICET, BICSI, etc)
