Summary:
Under the direction of the Regional Sales VP, the prospective account manager must be organized, personable, technical, articulate, and self-motivated. The position is largely focused on rotating equipment - pumps, compressors, complex packages and control systems - and, therefore, the individual must have a strong mechanical aptitude. An engineering degree is preferred, but not required. A technical degree and/or industry experience will be considered. New equipment and projects are often addressed, but the sales engineer must also understand troubleshooting, customer needs-based application, responsiveness and the ability to carry out a plan to fruition. Finally, the candidate must use these attributes to build trust, and long-standing, customer relationships.
Responsibilities of the Sales Professional include, but are not limited to:
  • Must Be Customer Driven - Identify customer needs, know decision makers, ask the right questions, apply a solution, and close on an offering.
  • Address Rotating Equipment Applications, and be a Technical Resource
  • Troubleshoot Rotating Equipment - Centrifugal and Positive Displacement Pumps
  • Educate Customers on Equipment Technology and Help Them Build Efficiencies
  • Deliver Presentations and Product Demonstrations
  • Develop Territory Strategic Plans and Accurate Sales Forecasts
  • Use company programs and CRM software to track opportunities and proposal activities, update management, identify challenges and competition, and support company initiatives.
  • Communicate Often and Clearly with Customers and Company Support Teams

Qualifications of the Sales Professional include, but are not limited to:
  • Engineering Degree Preferred, but Technical Degree and/or Experience Considered
  • Strong Mechanical Aptitude
  • Self-Starter And Can Work Productively with Minimal Supervision
  • Good Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
  • Outside Sales Experience or Support Desired
  • Must Have Customer-Service Oriented Mentality
  • Computer Literate
  • Organized and Detail Oriented
  • Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills
  • Experience Generating Proposals and Solutions
  • Experience Developing Strong, Long-Term Customer Relationships with Customers
  • Acceptable Driving Record and Background Required as Per Company Guidelines
