Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Analyst to support key finance operations with a primary focus on commissions administration and treasury management. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate commission calculations and payments, maintaining strong cash management discipline, supporting liquidity forecasting, and improving processes across both functions. The ideal candidate combines strong quantitative skills with a high level of ownership, accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Commissions

  • Administer the end-to-end commission process, including data collection, validation, calculation, accruals, and payout support.
  • Partner with Sales, People Operations, and Finance leadership to ensure commission plans are interpreted and executed accurately.
  • Review commission data for completeness and accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Prepare recurring commission reports, dashboards, and analyses for management review.
  • Support monthly and quarterly close activities related to commission accruals and reconciliations.
  • Maintain documentation of commission policies, plan logic, and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist in evaluating and improving commission processes, controls, and systems to enhance scalability and accuracy.

Treasury

  • Support daily treasury operations, including cash positioning, cash movement tracking, and bank activity monitoring.
  • Prepare short-term and medium-term cash flow forecasts to support liquidity planning and decision-making.
  • Monitor account balances and help ensure sufficient funding for payroll, vendor payments, commissions, and other operating needs.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations, treasury reporting, and investigation of cash-related variances.
  • Coordinate with Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Accounting to ensure timely and accurate cash disbursements.
  • Maintain banking documentation, user access records, and treasury-related controls.
  • Support efforts to optimize banking processes, payment timing, and overall working capital management.

Financial Analysis & Process Improvement

  • Analyze trends and variances related to commissions expense, cash activity, and treasury performance.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to strengthen controls, efficiency, and reporting quality.
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis, reporting requests, and special projects as needed.
  • Assist with audit requests and provide supporting schedules and documentation for commissions and treasury activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2โ€“5 years of experience in finance, FP&A, accounting, treasury, commissions, or related analytical roles.
  • Strong Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, payroll systems, commission tools, and/or banking platforms preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage recurring deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, HR, and Operations.
  • High degree of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive financial and compensation data.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with commission accounting, incentive compensation administration, or sales operations.
  • Exposure to cash forecasting, treasury operations, and banking relationships.
  • Familiarity with systems such as NetSuite, ADP, commission platforms (CaptivateIQ), or treasury/banking portals.
  • Experience in a high-growth or private equity-backed environment is a plus.
