BAS Sales Specialist

Kelso Building Services is seeking a motivated BAS Sales Specialist to drive sales growth and customer engagement within an assigned territory. This position is responsible for identifying opportunities, developing customer relationships, and delivering building automation solutions that improve efficiency, visibility, comfort, and energy performance.

The successful candidate will work closely with building owners, facility managers, consulting engineers, contractors, and operational leaders to provide customized solutions that align with each customer's business objectives.

This role partners with internal engineering, operations, service, and project delivery teams to ensure successful solution development and customer satisfaction.

Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop New Business Opportunities
  • Generate and qualify new sales opportunities throughout the assigned market.
  • Create and execute territory development strategies to support revenue growth.
  • Establish relationships with decision-makers across commercial, healthcare, industrial, education, government, and institutional facilities.
  • Utilize networking, referrals, industry events, and prospecting activities to expand market reach.

Manage the Sales Cycle
  • Meet with customers to assess operational needs and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct facility walkthroughs and discovery meetings.
  • Develop proposals, project scopes, and value-based recommendations.
  • Present financial benefits, operational improvements, and return-on-investment considerations.
  • Negotiate agreements and facilitate successful project handoffs.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting utilizing Salesforce CRM.
Expand Existing Accounts
  • Strengthen relationships with current customers and key accounts.
  • Identify opportunities for upgrades, enhancements, and ongoing service agreements.
  • Support long-term account growth strategies.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure customer success and project satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience in Building Automation, HVAC Controls, Mechanical Services, Energy Solutions, or related industries.
