We currently have an exciting opportunity in our Security department. This position specifically is located in Norfolk, Virginia. We are looking for a Security Administrative Associate.
Shift : 05:30 AM - 2:30 PM
Security Clearance: No Clearance
SUMMARY
This position maintains a variety of industrial security and access information for employees, contractors, subcontractors, and government personnel. Processes and protects Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and sensitive information within guidelines. This position has responsibilities in personnel security, physical security and government asset security. Informs supervisor of irregularities and proceeds with corrective action.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
  • Provides support in areas of maintaining record-keeping systems, databases and spreadsheets; prepares special and/or recurring reports containing specialized or sensitive information.
  • Responsible for coordination and records for issuing vehicle passes, badges, property control forms, camera and laptop passes.
  • Responds to inquiries in providing information requiring comprehensive knowledge of government and company confidential access policies and procedures; interprets decisions and policies with other staff.
  • Processes a variety of PII for employees, resource labor agencies and subcontractors for receiving government-issued badges and installation access.
  • Maintains record of obtaining badges for employees, to include notification of renewal date.
  • Has face-to-face interaction with visitors, customer, contractors, suppliers and employees.
  • Works closely with the government customer, contractors and other company departments or divisions in coordinating special needs and/or ship or facility access requirements.
  • Receives and screens phone calls and visitors, prioritizing and processing sensitive e-mails.
  • Interfaces with on-duty security guards in coordination with access to the controlled industrial area (CIA).
  • Assists with the implementation for CIA access to insure compliance.
  • Communicates with managers regarding ship locations and availability dates.
  • Possess customer services skills designed to enhance the experience of the customer.
  • Process government spreadsheets using MS Excel.
  • Ability to protect PII and other sensitive information.
  • Possesses strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Regular, reliable onsite attendance is an essential function of this job

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Typically has a high school diploma or equivalent
  • AA/AS plus 2 years directly related experience or
  • Four to six years directly related experience.
  • Knowledge of resources to process industrial security policies and directives.
  • Proven experience in databases, spreadsheets and related government databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to obtain a CAC or other government issued badge.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Flexible in work hours.
  • Must have a customer service focus.
  • Bilingual a plus.
