Job description

As the Black Belt - Lean, you will be a results-focused change leader responsible for executing complex, cross-functional improvement projects that deliver measurable business impact. You will apply Lean Six Sigma methods to improve cost, quality, delivery, safety, and customer experience while coaching teams and building problem-solving capabilities across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end DMAIC and PDCA projects delivering measurable improvements in performance, cost, quality, delivery, safety, and customer experience.
  • Apply Lean tools and statistical analysis to identify root causes, validate solutions, and ensure sustainable results.
  • Drive implementation and control plans to sustain gains.
  • Facilitate cross-functional project teams across Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, and functional areas.
  • Coach Green Belts and project team members in Lean Six Sigma tools and disciplined problem solving.
  • Develop and track project KPIs, financial benefits, and progress against targets.
  • Communicate results, risks, and learnings to project sponsors and leadership.
  • Promote standard work, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement behaviors.
  • Support deployment of the Wesco Lean Operating System through project execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree - in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Analytics, or other technical discipline required; Master's Degree preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification (ASQ, IASSC, CSSC, or equivalent) required
  • PMP, Agile certifications preferred
  • 7 years of extensive Lean or Lean Six Sigma experience in medium or large companies
  • 3 years leading or managing large-scale strategic initiatives
  • Experience leading multiple complex improvement projects using DMAIC and PDCA
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving capability
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, or other technically complex environments
  • Strong change agent capabilities
  • Strong facilitating skills - able to conduct DMAIC / PDCA workshop
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Working knowledge of SigmaXL and or Minitab
  • Experience presenting project results to senior leadership
  • Experience in Project Management preferred
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodology preferred
  • Ability to travel 25% - 50% (domestic and international travel)

This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.

For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan,subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.
