Job description

Interventional Radiology Nurse - Contract Position

Location: Sanford, FL

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with on-call requirements.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Nurse with a strong background in special procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate critical care skills, particularly in cardiac catheterization or imaging interventional procedures. The position involves working in the Special Procedures Unit, which is equipped with state-of-the-art imaging technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in peripheral angiography, angioplasty, stenting, embolization, thrombolysis, biopsy, paracentesis, and thoracentesis procedures.
  • Monitor patients pre- and post-procedure, ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
  • Utilize the MacLab and Meditech documentation systems effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

  • Current ACLS certification required.
  • Experience in special procedure or interventional radiology nursing.
  • Strong critical care background preferred.
