Employment Type: Full-Time

Build a Career in Recruiting

GlobalSource IT is looking for motivated, curious, and competitive individuals interested in building a long-term career in professional recruiting.

🛑 Previous experience in recruiting or technology is not required.

We value strong communication skills, persistence, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. This is not an administrative HR role. Recruiting involves relationship-building, sales, research, problem-solving, and follow-up.

You will receive hands-on training from an experienced team and learn how to identify talented technology professionals, understand their experience, match them with opportunities, and guide them through the hiring process.

What You Will Do

  • Search for technology professionals using LinkedIn, recruiting databases, job boards, and referrals
  • Review resumes and compare candidates with client requirements
  • Contact candidates by phone, email, LinkedIn, and text
  • Conduct initial conversations about experience, career goals, availability, and interest
  • Learn unfamiliar technologies and explain positions in clear language
  • Build candidate relationships and maintain consistent follow-up
  • Present qualified candidates to senior recruiters and account managers
  • Track recruiting activity and candidate information accurately
  • Help candidates prepare for interviews and navigate the hiring process

What We Are Looking For

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Confidence in speaking with new people
  • Curiosity and thoughtful questioning
  • Persistence when calls or messages go unanswered
  • Coachability and comfort with direct feedback
  • Attention to detail and strong organization
  • A competitive, self-motivated approach
  • Willingness to make phone calls and initiate conversations
  • Interest in learning about technology and business
  • A dependable work history and professional attitude

Relevant Backgrounds

You do not need recruiting experience. Strong candidates may come from:

  • Inside sales or business development
  • Customer service, hospitality, or retail
  • Call center or appointment-setting work
  • Fundraising or account management
  • Staffing or recruiting coordination
  • Recent college graduates
  • Competitive athletics
  • Other goal-oriented, customer-facing roles

What Success Looks Like

During your first few months, you will learn our recruiting process, the technologies we support, and how to evaluate and engage candidates.

Over time, you'll be expected to build a professional network, develop expertise in specific technology markets, manage searches independently, contribute to successful placements, and earn extra income through commissions.
