Job description

Position Title: Help Desk Technician
Department: Technology and Innovation
Reports to: Help Desk Manager
Location: Topeka, KS - onsite
Overview:
We are searching for a motivated self-starter to join our Help Desk Team. As a Help Desk Technician, you will provide technical assistance and resolutions to issues related to computer hardware, software, and general office equipment. If you enjoy helping people and learning about new technologies, this could be the perfect fit for you.
What you'll do:
  • Handle and resolve help desk tickets submitted by staff
  • Support corporate users in person, remotely, and via telephone
  • Assists in the installation of computer hardware and software
  • Assist in maintaining and updating hardware inventory
  • Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical staff on a regular basis
  • Work some nights and weekends as well as be on-call when necessary

Experience you'll bring:
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Solid understanding of Windows products; Windows Client OS's, Microsoft Office Suite, and Office 365 products
  • Aptitude for technology, embrace change, and willingness to learn
  • Strong organizational skills: capacity to manage a heavy workload while navigating a variety of competing, ever-changing priorities
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
