Tryfacta is seeking a MLT or MT/MLS for our client in Clinton IL 61727. This is a 10-week contract assignment. If you meet the qualifications listed below and are interested, please Apply Now!

Position Title: MLT or MT/MLS

Location: Clinton IL 61727

Duration: 10 weeks contract with all possible extension

Work Schedule: Shift will be primarily days, with rotating weekends and potential for occasional on-call hours.

Hours: 40

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform a variety of chemical, microscopic, and bacteriological laboratory tests in accordance with established laboratory policies and procedures.
  • Analyze and interpret laboratory specimens while ensuring accuracy and quality standards are maintained.
  • Follow all regulatory, accrediting, and safety requirements to ensure compliance with laboratory guidelines.
  • Demonstrate the ability to provide laboratory services to patients across all age groups, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Collect blood specimens and perform phlebotomy procedures with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper handling and processing of specimens.
  • Document test results accurately and communicate findings effectively with healthcare providers.
  • Adhere to infection control, quality assurance, and patient safety protocols at all times.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, specimen processing, and phlebotomy required.
  • Previous laboratory experience and proficiency in phlebotomy are required.

To be considered for this position, you should have:

  • Basic computer knowledge, ability to perform mathematical calculations, apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to use sound judgment to ensure quality of patient care. Good communication skills, written and verbal, effective reading and comprehension skills.
  • Meditech experience a plus.
  • Degree in Medical Technology/Lab Science or a related biological science, ASCP certified as an MLT or MT/MLS.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. or more and follow proper body mechanics as relates to the job.
