BMO is scaling to the next phase of their Equities Electronic Trading franchise investing in a Senior Electronic Sales Trader (Managing Director or Director) to support sustained, outsized growth. Our electronic trading business delivers exceptional and durable revenue and market share, by leveraging a well-positioned platform, which has BMO recognized as one of the fastestgrowing electronic trading providers globally. This role is focused on driving new growth by developing relationships and expanding client engagement across the platform.

A true sales origination and trading production opportunity awaits a driven entrepreneurial electronic sales trading director who wants to bet on themselves inside a growth focused business. Supported by a significant investment in algorithms, infrastructure and analytics, this hire will thrive in converting those investments into measurable revenue growth through disciplined execution, intelligent risktaking, and creative commercial strategy.

What You Will Lead

PitchLed Client Engagement & Execution Credibility

• Lead frontfooted, pitchdriven conversations with portfolio managers, traders, and execution teams.

• Translate complex market structure, algorithmic behavior, and performance data into clear client value.

• Win mandates through execution quality, algorithm differentiation, workflow optimization, and TCAdriven outcomes.

Revenue Generation & Sales Origination

• Deliberately own endtoend origination growing lowtouch and algorithmic equity execution relationships.

• Proactively develop institutional client relationships with a clear strategy to expand presence in underpenetrated and competitive accounts.

• Apply an entrepreneurial yet disciplined approach to sales execution, focused on sustainable growth and consistent outcomes.

Platform Monetization & Product Partnership

• Serve as the commercial tip of the spear, driving client adoption, usage, and revenue.

• Provide continuous client feedback to ensure technology investments convert into sustained revenue growth.

Senior Leadership & Franchise Mindset

• Act as a senior ambassador of the electronic trading franchise internally and externally.

• Bring a strong personal brand and market credibility to elevate the platform.

• Partner crossfunctionally while maintaining clear individual production accountability.

What You Bring

Personal brand and internal leadership:
At the Director or Managing Director level, the candidate will have a strong external reputation and the internal leadership skills to collaborate closely with trading, product, and technology partners. Their integral reputation elevates the commercial culture of the desk while serving as a trusted senior representative of the electronic trading franchise.

• 10+ years of experience covering institutional clients with direct accountability for revenue origination, growth, and relationship ownership.

• Proven success as a revenueproducing electronic sales trader with deep lowtouch and algorithmic expertise.

• Strong execution credibility across market structure, TCA analysis, workflow optimization, and performance diagnostics, ideally from performanceled platform environments.

Please note the base salary for this role at the Director level is $275,000 USD / at the MD level is $350,000 USD.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group's total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
