Experienced Parts Counterperson At Eastgate Auto Mall

Jeff Wyler Eastgate Auto Mall is hiring a full-time parts counter person!

Jeff Wyler Eastgate Auto Mall is accepting applications for an experienced parts counter person. You would contribute to our overall vision, working together and moving people throughout life by developing and maintaining trust with our customers that will build a long-term relationship.

This position will be a base + commission position that is driven by team success along with the growth of the store.

The parts counterperson will be responsible for accurately obtaining parts for customers using electronic parts catalogs and other computer applications while providing the very best experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Look up and hand out parts and accessories for technicians and customers.
  • Use electronic parts catalogs and manufacturers' websites to source parts and information.
  • Respond to customer inquiries by email, phone, and in person.
  • Create invoices and collect payment.
  • Achieve parts sales goals while providing outstanding customer experience.
  • Provide information, pricing, and availability of parts for the service department and customers.
  • Successfully interact with parts team, technicians, service advisors, retail, and wholesale customers.
  • Order parts, accessories, and tires from manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Prepare, package, and ship parts and accessories using common carriers.
  • Receipt parts into inventory and maintain inventory in proper bin locations.
  • Ensuring the quality and promptness of all parts requests.
  • Stock incoming inventory to the proper bin location.
  • Maintain the parts department in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Perform various shipping and receiving functions and other administrative tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a dealership or automotive service environment a plus but not required.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on maintaining positive relationships with clients.
  • Proficiency in inventory control and management processes.
  • Sales experience, particularly in retail settings, is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
