What is commission knife sales?

Commission knife sales refer to the practice of selling knives—such as kitchen, utility, or specialty knives—on behalf of a company or manufacturer, where the salesperson earns a commission for each sale made. This means the salesperson's earnings are directly tied to the amount and value of knives they successfully sell, often through demonstrations, direct sales, or online platforms. Commission structures can vary, with some offering a base salary plus commission, while others are entirely commission-based. This role requires strong sales skills, product knowledge, and the ability to build relationships with customers. People in this job often work independently and may set their own schedules.
