Summary:
To provide support in terms of organizing data in the electronic system through invoices, files, cancellations, reinstatements, etc. May be required to competently revise and/or understand the nature of the information they are processing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Answer incoming calls on multi-line phone; routing caller to appropriate individual as necessary
  • Perform reception duties in an efficient, professional and courteous manner
  • Distribute incoming mail to appropriate parties
  • File data and perform other routine clerical tasks as assigned for department as needed
  • Support department with various clerical tasks including but not limited to processing, mailing, etc.
  • Scanning and creating new business information into custom program
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and customers
  • Process and distribute bond renewal invoices
  • Issue Finance Agreements
  • Run credit reports
  • Process and track status of renewals
  • Issue new and renewal Bonds
  • Assist with special projects as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good fundamental computer navigation skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Self-motivated
  • Strong attention to details
  • May be required to work overtime as necessary
  • Experience with receptionist duties is desired
  • Ability to handle situations in a calm, courteous and professional manner
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines
  • Ability to interact with a variety of people/personalities and function well in a team environment
Education and/or Experience:
  • High School graduate or general education degree (GED), college preferred
  • Previous P&C insurance office experience desired
Certificates, Licenses, Registration:
  • P&C License desired

The base salary range for this position is $38,000 to $48,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
