At District Photo, our employees are the heart of our company. We are seeking a HP Indigo Operator in our Phoenix factory


Job Overview

ย We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bindery and Digital Press Machine Operator to operate and maintain specialized printing machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital press printing and finishing operations with the ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance while adhering to all rules and regulations mandated by safety policies and procedures to produce a superior product.


Schedule

Monday-Thursday 5am-3pm ย 

Overtime will be necessary during high-peak production seasons.
ย 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
ย 

  • ย Adaptable team member capable of operating and maintaining a range of equipment.
  • ย ย Upholds Quality Standards by reviewing product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance
  • ย ย Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
  • ย Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule, or templates
  • ย Observes machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction and escalates issues to appropriate personnel when required.
  • Perform routine and preventative machine maintenance and document accordingly
  • Train new operators with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles and contribute to the overall success of the organizationย 
  • Assists other operators to set up machines and any other necessary tasks to adhere to deadlines and completion of product
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.ย 
  • Maintains a high level of accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of work assignments.
  • ย Familiarity with Digital Print Press and Bindery equipment such as HP Indigo, Canon, Muller Martini (Vareo, Bindery BA513 and DA260) ย

Requirements

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of experience operating specialized print press machinery.

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Must be fluent in English, with strong reading and writing skills to interpret technical documents, job specifications, complete reports, and communicate effectively with team members.

Familiarity with safety standards, 6S and quality control procedures.

Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Must have a flexible schedule during high production Peak Seasons.ย 


Physical Requirements
ย 

While performing the duties of this job the employee will be required to frequently stand on their feet for extended periods of ย ย time

Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
