Job description

Oversees activities of personnel engaged in maintaining hospital buildings in a clean, safe and orderly condition. Tours buildings regularly to observe cleaning crews in action and ensures all instructions are followed and safety rules observed. Orients and trains new employees in proper cleaning procedures. Performs duties of subordinate personnel.


Education: High School/GED required.

Experience: Six to twelve months related work experience necessary to gain knowledge of housekeeping processes, learn to operate sanitation equipment and become familiar with materials and supplies utilized in institutional cleaning. Prefer previous experience as Housekeeping.

Additional Skills/Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
