Job description

PERMANENT- Neonatology NP

We will look at NP or PA who is willing to get their OR license.

*UPDATE* - Providence Women’s and Children’s Services is seeking full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistants who have completed a 12-month Neonatal PA fellowship or residency program to join a well-established team of practitioners Oregon. In this role you will provide clinical management of high-risk neonates and infants, patient education, and work collaboratively with medical, nursing and support services to provide high-value, family centered care. You will also exercise autonomy of practice in ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests to drive the patient treatment plans. Neonatal Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant coverage provided at both Providence St. Vincent and Providence Medical Centers, both teaching hospitals with Level III NICUs, Maternal Fetal Medicine Consultation, and OB Hospitalist support.

Coverage will be but the providers will be working as well. Both are a level 3 NICU. PSVMC has the more smaller and sicker patients so is a little bit more intensive than PPMC.

In hospital work 12 or 24 hour shifts (7am-7pm or 7am-7am).
PPMC is usually a 24hr shift as it is less intensive but either one will be ok to pick up.

There are 13 NNP's they work for Providence Medical Group. Neonatal physicians are contracted so they don't work for them but partner with them. NNP has patients on their service but are a lot of unit-based support, attend deliveries and do all procedures. Physicians do the daily check ins with patients.

There is an office at both site for them to use after hours and during the day.

Delivery room volume is high so experience with this type of work is preferred.
