While both roles require licensing and involve selling health insurance, a Commission Health Insurance Agent typically works for a specific insurer or agency, focusing on their products. A Health Insurance Broker operates independently or for multiple insurers, providing clients with a broader range of options. The main difference lies in their employer relationships and product offerings, but both roles aim to help clients find suitable health insurance coverage.

Why do most commission health insurance agents quit?

Most commission health insurance agents quit due to inconsistent income, high competition, and the pressure to meet sales quotas. The job often requires strong sales skills, ongoing client acquisition, and resilience to rejection, which can lead to burnout and turnover.
