Job description

The Golf F&B Attendant is responsible for service and presentation of Golf Food & Beverage including but not limited to the following: Beverage Cart, Maze Stone Grill, Pickleball Food Truck, and Maze Stone Restaurant & Bar. The Golf F&B Attendant is responsible for providing upstanding guest service, preparing and serving of alcohol beverages, cooking and preparation of food items and general cash accounting for all areas on a daily basis. The Golf F&B Attendant at Soboba Springs Golf Course may also be responsible for accomplishing unforeseen tasks that relate to assigned functions.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide guests with a fun, friendly, and helpful experience.
  • Able to maintain team work, communication and complete tasks to assist other areas including but not limited to outside services and pro shop, duties may include cleaning out trash in carts, pulling in carts, picking up pins or answering phones.
  • Work in all Golf F&B outlets. (Scheduling is based on the needs of the Golf Course tee times and events.)
  • Follow standard recipes for food menu and cocktail menu, adjusting only at guests’ requests and participate in menu planning drink specials and special events.
  • Displays knowledge of proper food presentation including handling, garnishing and serving of all food items. Store and rotate items in the proper manner using FIFO.
  • Adheres to all rules, policies and regulations as stated in the Soboba Casino Employee Handbook.
  • Change and maintain CO2 tanks and kegs.
  • Must be able to drive and maintain a beverage golf cart.
  • Monitor alcohol consumption and exercise TIPS procedures at all times.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all work areas according to Health Department regulations and Soboba Safety guidelines.
  • Responsible for proper food serving techniques and customer service satisfaction.
  • Bus, clean and reset tables when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate bank and be able to use POS system and credit card machine. Keep an accurate bank and maintain proper records of transactions throughout daily shift when applicable.
  • Ability to anticipate shortages, and formulate a plan by using other pre-made items for the grill room to counter act shortages and informing the Lead of any items out of stock.
  • Inspect any problems with equipment, trash or storage containers, and report any and all unsafe conditions to a member of management immediately.
  • Complete assigned tasks, individual opening /closing procedures and doing routine cleaning of kitchen equipment, changing deep fryer oil and washing of dishes.
  • Must be physically present to work a regular, reliable, and predictable work schedule in accordance with business demands, and maintain a consistent and regular attendance record.
  • Other duties as may be assigned from time-to-time

Education / Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age, or older.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Basic math skills, and minimum one (1) year experience cash handling and working on a POS system and handling credit card transactions, preferred.
  • Food preparation experience, preferred.
  • One (1) year bartending experience preferred.
  • Must be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United States of America.
  • A current California Driver’s License, preferred.
  • Any combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Certificates, licenses and registration

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license.
  • Required to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain County of Riverside Food Handlers Card within seven (7) days of date of hire.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain TIPS certification (Training for Intervention Procedures) within 30 days of date of hire.
  • Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certified, or able to obtain certification within 60 days of date of hire.
