Location: St. Augustine & Surrounding Areas, Jacksonville, Florida
Company: MAY Management Services
Pay Range: $22โ€“$25 per hour, based on experience


Job Summary:


MAY Management Services is seeking a dependable and skilled Floating Maintenance Technician to support multiple communities in the Ponte Vedra Beach area. This position will travel between assigned properties as needed to perform general maintenance, repairs, and community upkeep. The ideal candidate is adaptable, customer-service oriented, and capable of working independently while representing the company professionally on various job sites.


Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repair duties across multiple HOA/COA communities, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and minor HVAC work.
  • Conduct routine inspections of common areas, buildings, and equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
  • Respond to work orders and service requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist with upkeep of amenities such as pools, fitness centers, clubhouses, and grounds.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to reduce future repair costs and equipment downtime.
  • Communicate effectively with community managers, residents, and vendors.
  • Maintain tools, supplies, and work logs; report any major repairs needed.
  • Support special projects, property improvements, and seasonal tasks as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards and community policies.
Requirements:

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous maintenance, handyman, or facility repair experience required.
  • Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair work.
  • Ability to diagnose issues and perform hands-on repairs with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Customer-friendly, professional communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and reliable transportation required (mileage reimbursement may apply).
  • Pool maintenance experience or CPO certification is a plus but not required.

Work Schedule & Compensation

  • Full-Time, Mondayโ€“Friday, with occasional after-hours or weekend needs if emergencies arise.
  • Pay rate: $22โ€“$25 per hour, based on experience, plus benefits package.
  • Mileage reimbursement or company vehicle may be provided depending on assignment.
