Job description

Must be available to work Thursday-Sunday evenings

Reports to: Linden Hills Meat & Seafood Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES
Meet customer needs with a smiling face and remember the customer always comes first
Handle all customer questions and concerns
Assist the Meat Manager in operating the meat department according to policies
Fill Added Value/Sausage/Chicken trays as needed
Front and face all cases as needed (self-serve, freezers, rolling coolers, and meat bunkers)
Fill fresh meat case as needed. Properly rotate fresh meat case and fresh meat cooler; ensure proper rotation is being followed
Wrap newly prepared items for the self-serve case as needed
Check and monitor all price tags and signs and audit for accuracy
Assist in any projects or sausage making that goes on throughout the shift
Participate in ensuring that proper cleaning procedures are being followed

Wipe down the top of meat case, both scales, and glass windows
Clean dishes, grinder, and saw properly and put in appropriate place
Clean all sinks/drains/tables/walls/doors/windows properly and sanitize
Break down fish case and shut down; all Seafood put away properly.
Properly cover/wrap all meat, date, and put on the appropriate shelf.

QUALIFICATIONS
Customer service is key, friendly personality
Experience in meat room desirable; willing to train
Strong work ethic
Ability to complete work assignments
Ability to get to work at assigned starting time & complete full shifts
Desire to develop skills and grow in the job
Demonstrated ability to work with customers and coworkers from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Ability to work with TCCP to create an inclusive environment where all are welcomed.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Daily work with sharp objects.
Lift product boxes and equipment up to 65 lbs. (Required)
Carry product to sales floor. (Required)
Extremely busy periods accompanied by slow periods
May be required to be on one's feet for extended periods of time.
Regular work in both coolers and freezers; temperature extremes in working environment.
Continuous cleaning of cutting room required.
