Marketing Intern - Bass Category Innovation & Trends
Job Summary
Ready to turn your passion for bass fishing into real innovation? As a Marketing Intern focused on Bass Category Innovation & Trends, you'll help uncover what's next in the world of fishing-from emerging techniques to cutting-edge bait designs. Your insights will directly influence future product development and marketing strategies for leading brands like Berkley and Savage Gear.
What will you do?
  • Identify emerging bass fishing techniques, bait styles, and rigging trends across avid and tournament anglers
  • Analyze trends across setups, line, terminal tackle, bait design, and fishery patterns
  • Research how trends originate and track how they evolve across regions and angler segments
  • Translate insights into new product ideas for future innovation pipelines
  • Support bait ideation and concept development for Berkley and Savage Gear
  • Recommend new techniques, shapes, and applications based on angler behaviors
  • Provide input on how to activate trends through marketing and consumer engagement strategies
  • Capture and document knowledge around fishing setups to support long-term brand strategy
  • Leverage on-the-water experience and field research to validate trends
  • Monitor tournament circuits, pro anglers, and competitor products to identify market shifts

What makes you a great catch?
  • Passion for bass fishing with strong, hands-on experience on the water
  • Familiarity with advanced techniques and tools like Forward Facing Sonar (FFS)
  • Knowledge of tournament bass fishing at various levels
  • Exposure to JDM baits and global fishing trends is a plus
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to turn insights into ideas
  • Effective communication and storytelling skills
