Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an Environmental Services Technician (EVS) Tech, you will provide critical environmental services and meticulous attention to cleanliness, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Every day you will expertly clean and disinfect patient rooms, common areas, and high-touch surfaces, manage waste disposal, operate specialized equipment, and meticulously follow infection control protocols to maintain impeccable standards.
To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a dependable, conscientious demeanor, contributing significantly to a healthy and comfortable facility environment
  • EVS Closets and Carts

    • Keeps closets and carts clean, locked, and orderly at all times

  • EVS Equipment

    • Treats hospital equipment with respect.

    • Follows equipment safety policies.

    • Puts equipment away after each use.

  • Safety/Safe Work Habits

    • Must be in compliance with departmental safety policies 100% of the time

  • Chemicals

    • Must be able to read and understand Chemical labels and Material Safety Data Sheets

    • Follows dilution amounts 100% of the time.

    • Keeps bottles properly labeled.

    • Keeps chemicals locked in cart or in janitors closet when not using.

  • Body Mechanics

    • Uses safe body mechanics at all times

  • In-services and Staff Meetings

    • Attends mandatory hospital/staff inservices 90% of the time
