About the Job

Wright Beverage Distributing is looking for a motivated technician to join our Draft & Vending team. You’ll work handson with draft systems and beverage equipment in the field, with training provided and room for longterm growth. Fulltime roles include a strong benefits package.

*This position is based out of Buffalo, but training will occur in Leroy*

What You’ll Do

This is a handson field service role. You’ll install, maintain, and repair draft beer and vending equipment at customer locations across your assigned territory.

On a typical day, you will:

  • Drive to retail accounts and service locations
  • Install and set up draft beer systems, coolers, and vending equipment
  • Troubleshoot issues with draft lines, taps, coolers, and cold equipment
  • Repair or replace equipment on site
  • Deliver and set up draft trailers and equipment for special events
  • Keep accurate records of equipment placements and repairs
  • Maintain a clean, safe company vehicle and work area
  • Interact directly with customers and represent Wright Beverage professionally

Preferred Experience

  • Field service or routebased work
  • Equipment installation or repair
  • HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, vending, or similar trades

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid NYS driver’s license (clean record)
  • Comfortable driving daily within assigned territory
  • Able to lift and move kegs and equipment (½ BBLs)
  • Comfortable using basic hand tools
  • Willing to work outdoors and in all weather conditions

Training

  • Draft system training provided
  • MillerCoors Draught Tech Certification required (company-supported)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical ability to move cold vending equipment with the assistance of vending dollies in tight locations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and stack, 1 case of can (21 pounds), 1 case of 12oz bottles (38 pounds), 1 case of 40 oz bottles (48 pounds) and½ barrels weighting 175 pounds 3 feet off the ground; stand; continuous use of hands and arms to reach for product. The employee is frequently required climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS
Most of the work is performed inside. Some of the work is performed inside of walk-in coolers where the temperature is usually below 40 degrees. Work will be performed in basements, under bar tops and possibly crawl spaces.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Must hold a valid, clean NYS driver’s license that is acceptable to our insurance carrier.
When certain jobs involving new construction or custom work may be the case, the draught service technician should assess whether any service work could possibly cause damage at the retailers property.  PRIOR APPROVAL IS REQUIRED by both retailer/contractor and WBD management BEFORE any work is started.
