Job Overview

The Volunteer and Community Partner is responsible for processing volunteer and mentor applications while supporting the planning and execution of volunteer events and communications. Collaborates with coworkers and agency staff to ensure effective communication, coordination, and problem-solving across all volunteer initiatives.

As an integrated health organization Acenda values the use of evidence-based practice or EBP's.

Program Info

Family Success Centers are community-based, family-centered neighborhood gathering places where community residents go for family support, interactive workshops, activities, and groups. Family Success Centers are beautiful spaces designed to bring the community together to build relationships, strengthen the community and the families in it. They are places where residents and volunteers share their time and talent to build community capacity and enrich the lives of community members, and make families and neighborhoods stronger. A variety of family friendly events take place each month. We offer fun and educational workshops and activities, connection to resources, and volunteer opportunities. All services are free and open to all families in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for processing volunteer and mentor applications and

  • Assist in the planning and executing volunteer special events and volunteer communications.

  • Works collaboratively with coworkers and agency staff to effectively communicate and problem solve.

Requirements:

  • Minimum requirement is an Associate's degree with relevant experience

  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, use of an insured vehicle and an acceptable driving record.

  • Must be able to exercise independent thinking and good judgment under all circumstances.

  • Must be able to analyze work, set goals, develop plans and utilize time effectively and efficiently.

Additional Information:

  • Base Rate: $18.27

  • Sign-on Bonus: $500

  • Bilingual rate: An additional $1.50 added to the base rate if Spanish proficient

  • Schedule: Day- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9-5, Thursday 11-7 some Saturdays
