Job Summary: Freedom Solar Power is looking for dedicated, humble, and hardworking Commercial Solar Installers for national commercial solar-based projects with either construction, electrical or solar experience! You will join a crew of solar installers to install 10kW to 1MW solar systems. This position is 90% travel; mostly 4 weeks out, with occasional weekend travel/work required.
THIS TRAVELING INSTALLER ROLE IS BASED OUT OF AUSTIN, TX.
Job Duties:
  • Work with a team of installers on commercial solar projects.
  • Safely executing quality workmanship, and timely completion of work assignments.
  • Ensure proper safety, quality, and attitude per all company policies.
  • Responsible for perpetuating the mission, goals, and values of Freedom Solar Power.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competency:
  • Prior solar, construction, or electrical experience!
  • Strong work history with career progression!
  • Flexible - will do what it takes to get the job done.
  • Hardworking - you will put 100% into your work and be a team player.
  • Great communicator and team player.

Qualifications Required:
  • 2+ years of experience in commercial solar installation, electrical, or construction, electrical coding strongly desired.
  • Can physically lift, bend, squat, and haul 50+ lbs.
  • Capable of working in hot climates.
  • Introduction to commercial solar mechanical and electrical principles.
  • A valid Driver's License and clean MVR are required to drive company vehicles.
  • Willingness to travel weeks at a time across the US, 90% of the year.
