Job description

CareArc is accepting applications for a full-time Pharmacy Clerk to join our new pharmacy team. The pharmacy clerk is responsible for assisting the pharmacist in providing patients with friendly, efficient, professional, and timely delivery of pharmacy services. The pharmacy clerk is responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients, operating the cash register.
Primary Functions
  • Punctuality and being present are the first essential functions of the job.
  • Interact with public and staff to actively engage in finding ways to assist patients in accessing medications.
  • Operate cash register, handling cash and other tenders of payment such as vouchers, debit and credit cards and balancing registers.
  • Answer the telephone, responding to questions and requests.
  • Perform all duties, services, and documentation in full compliance with CareArc policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of the 340B program, sliding fee scale, and referral prescriptions.
  • Assist the Pharmacist in Charge with 340B program compliance, as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience operating a cash register, credit card machine, and cash handling preferred
